Why Choose ECU?

ECU is one of the world's best young universities*.

We’re young and we’re curious. We’re constantly scanning what’s happening in the world and translating this into challenging, realistic and highly practical courses that prepare students for the future.

Our programs are developed in consultation with industry groups and we focus on our graduates' employability skills.

Practicums and networking events are integral to most of our courses and students can be offered paid internships as part of their studies.

Australia’s best climate

Perth’s weather is arguably the best in Australia. We enjoy the most days of sunshine of all of our major cities.

The mild Mediterranean climate, endless blue skies and brilliant beaches are hard to beat!

Fantastic facilities and programs

ECU offers a diverse range of courses, and our facilities are some of the best you'll find at any university in Australia.

We have one of Australia's fastest growing Engineering Schools, the largest Nursing program in Western Australia, and our exercise science laboratories are considered among the best in the Southern Hemisphere.

The oldest and most popular School of Education in Western Australia can be found here, along with one of the most comprehensive Arts & Humanities Schools in the Southern Hemisphere, and WAAPA, one of the world's leading performing arts academies.

What can you study here?

To help our students with a career direction, we group similar fields of work into study areas.

Within each study area below you can choose an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. And within most degree courses, you can choose your specialty, or major subject.

Course entry

ECU courses have minimum entry requirements. These include English competency and qualifying secondary school results, or a Certificate or Diploma that meets Australian standards. If you’ve completed or partially completed an undergraduate or higher degree, this can also help you enter an ECU course.

Course tuition fees can change from year to year, but we can give you an estimate of your course costs. Your tuition fees are payable in advance each semester. Depending on factors like exchange rates, you or your sponsor have the option of paying more than 50% of the total course fee upfront.
